China Mobile users Nearly 900 Million Translucent

VIVAnews - China in the near future will become the first country to have more than 900 million mobile phone users.

According to statistics released officially by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, the number of mobile users in the country has reached 889 million at the end of March.

During the quarter, noted the addition of as many as 30 million mobile phone users. If BASED on past growth rates, estimated number of Chinese mobile phone users can break the 900 million in May.

In March 2009, the number of Chinese mobile phone users is 670 million. In the same period last year, that number rose to 776 million. During 2010, the number of China's 3G subscribers to grow 34.7 million people. Meanwhile, for the first quarter of this year, 3G users increased by about 13.5 million people.

Analysts say that sales of smart phones (smartphones) in China has helped increase the country's 3G customers. In 2009, sales of smart phones reached 21 million units only. Last year, the number rose to 62 million units of mobile phones.

Smart phone sales in China this year, is expected to reach 95 million units. Meanwhile, the number of Chinese mobile phone users who surf the web, last year has reached 303 million people.

After China, India became the country with the second largest number of mobile users in the world. Based on data from Indian telecom regulator per month of February, there are 791 million mobile phone users in the country.

This is a very significant growth, since last September, where the number of new Indian mobile phone users reached 687 million users. While the United States itself only has 303 million mobile phone users.
