Google Prepares Mobile Payment System

VIVAnews - Google is reportedly preparing to launch mobile payment services that can be enjoyed operator Sprint Nextel customers.

According to Bloomberg sources, this service allows customers who have a Nexus S Android phone to make purchases and order coupons.

To increase revenue from mobile advertising sector and discount retailing, Google's technology is central to campaign-near-field communication (NFC) which allows people to make payments on cash register machines are equipped with NFC devices.

Therefore, this sector is growing rapidly. Research from Borrel Associates estimates that U.S. public spending for mobile coupons in 2014 is predicted to increase from last year, from U.S. $ 370 million to U.S. $ 6.53 billion.

Google would introduce this service in five U.S. cities, New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington DC. Google's competitors, the iPhone is also planning to implement mobile payment system that also use traditional NFC technology.

In addition, Google also must face competition from services provided by other operators such as ISIS, which controlled by Verizon and AT & T. The plan ISIS will launch its service in two cities, including Salt Lake Cuty, in early 2012.
