Three Keys to Building a Slide Presentation "Startup"

KOMPAS.com - The founders of startup, both the newly established "dream" and that began to develop his company, would require substantial capital to run and maintain what has been built. One way to get capital is to do the pitching to investors.
"Pitching is half exciting and nightmare," said Bernadus Sumartok, founder of Presentonomics.com when sharing his knowledge about the presentation in front of participants.
According to him, pitching could be a very cultivated because employers will meet the investors, but it would be a nightmare if his presentation was not optimal. Therefore Sumartok share how to build a simple slide presentation but can attract investor attention while pitching.
He divided the three major parts, namely: Mind of The Time (time division), Content is King (content presentation is king), and Visual (how visualization is very supportive presentation).
First, Mind in Time, or time sharing can be done by sorting what is not important, important, and most important. Then focus the discussion of the slide to the product, not the background or profile of the company. When explaining the product, better show than to say, because the audience is more interested in seeing the product directly compared heard the story. Ideally, within 15 minutes of presentation only consists of 12 to 20 slide presentation, then take advantage of the optimum.
Second, in terms of Content Is King. Ideal structure for startup when the pitching is discussing the contents starting from the introduction about the company and team, then continued by explaining the opportunities and competition in the industry, explain the business model, provides a question and answer, also gives the solution of problems that occurred in the vicinity of the user startup them. But the set of all essential information into simple, easily understood information audience. "Keep it simple slide," said Sumartok.
Third, the Visual. Sumartok suggested that a presentation using large images and high resolution, not the small picture and low resolution. "If it's necessary fill all the screen slides with images for clear," said Sumartok.
He added that the use of clip art in presentation means are not professional, so he suggested not to use clip art. Do not forget to provide enough white space on the image so there is space to enter text that reinforces the image. Then to type letters, on a slide, try to not more than two types of letters and for writing numbers should use Arial typeface because it is more clearly visible.
